As a State Sales Manager you will lead a team of Area Sales Managers and Sales Executives to drive business growth, provide strategic direction, manage stakeholder relationships, and embody our company values.
What your day-today looks like:
- Develop a strategic sales plan, providing a roadmap for securing long-term revenue through the sales growth of new and existing customers.
- Continually review state(s) performance to appropriately plan and identify opportunities to inform forward planning.
- Identify opportunities to maximise revenue and profitability.
- Analyse and monitor state inventory accuracy to ensure that our products are available for our customers.
- Actively build and manage positive business relationships with key State Bunnings personnel.
- Collaborate with internal cross functional departments to ensure decision making considers a consistent customer experience.
- Oversee the execution of events, campaigns, and maximising growth with new product ranges.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and share with the business to maintain our competitive advantage.
- Develop and manage the performance of your Area Sales Managers through frequent coaching and feedback.
- Proven leadership and management skills in a customer-facing role within the trade or retail sales environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with customers, stakeholders, and team members.
- Strong relationship-building abilities, with a track record of influencing and negotiating key stakeholders.
- Confident presentation skills, adept at showcasing service offerings and solutions to diverse customers and at events.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills capabilities, effectively resolving customer and product related issues.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools, preferably Salesforce, to enhance customer relationship management.
